ASUS U6 luxury notebooks ASUS has has just rolled out its line of U6 luxury notebooks in the US, where you get the U6E and U6S which come in white and brown colors respectively. They boast glossy exteriors that are bound to pick up fingerprints like how a stray dog attracts fleas, while the insides ooze with luxury such as leather-covered palmrests and status-light bars designed in decorative metal. Measuring 12.1″ in size, you get HDMI ports, LED backlights, an 8-in-1 memory card reader as well as a Super Multi DVD drive in each notebook. The U6 is adequately powered by an Intel Core 2 Duo 2.2GHz processor, 2GB RAM and 160GB hard drive - enough for everyday use, although you can forget about using this as your primary gaming rig. The inclusion of fingerprint scanners is brilliant as it notches up data security by an extra mile. No word on pricing or availability as at press time.
