Kodak C713 Digital Camera

Kodak C713 Digital Camera

Kodak’s new EasyShare C713 digital camera is endowed with the following specifications :-

  • Kodak AF 3X Optical Aspheric Zoom Lens
  • 5x digital zoom
  • 7 megapixel with VGA video recording capability
  • 2.4″ 115k color display

  • 16MB internal memory

  • SD/MMC memory card slot
Unfortunately, Kodak is lagging behind in the game as the EasyShare C713 lacks optical stabilization, but settles for digital image stabilization instead to reduce blur caused by camera shake and subject movement.

SeaLife DC800 Digital Camera

SeaLife has a new digital camera for underwater enthusiasts - the DC800. This 8 megapixel camera is capable of producing extremely sharp images even at depths of up to 200 feet, way ahead of what the RC-12 wireless mini cam can offer. Whenever you decide to lose your sea legs and head on land, the DC800 ain’t no slouch either in dry conditions. All you need to do is remove the slim camera fro its waterproof housing and you’re good to go. With fast shutter time and quick-start, you get virtually no shutter lag. Some of the features include :-

  • Sea mode with 3 UW color correction settings
  • Ext Flash Auto mode for automatic exposure settings
  • Ext Flash Manual mode for manual aperture and shutter speed exposure controls
  • Spy Mode ti automatically shoots continuous pictures at set time intervals
  • 8 megapixel CCD sensor
  • 2.7″ LCD display

  • 20X zoom - 4X optical zoom plus 5X digital

  • SD/SDHC memory card slot

  • 22 Land modes

  • 640 x 480 video recording
The SeaLife DC800 will retail for $549.95 and is compatible with SeaLife’s line of accessories.

BenQ isn’t just content with LCD monitors, TVs and DVD drives, it has also made the jump into the world of digital cameras. This time round, we have the BenQ C850 and C750 that feature 7 megapixels and 8 megapixels, respectively. Shared specifications include :-

  • Pentax lens
  • 3x optical zoom
  • Super-Shake-Free mode with high ISO supported
  • Smile Catch mode
  • Video recording with optical zoom
  • 2.5” (C750) and 2.7” (C850) LCD display

Both models are also equipped with P/Av/Tv/M mode and a total of 14 shooting modes. They will make a debut in selected countries throughout Asia Pacific and Europe sometime this month. Guess the entry level market has just gotten more saturated.
