Product Description universal Fm Transmitter For Ipods(r) Mp3 Players & Auxiliary Input Devices Fits All Vehicle 12v Power Sockets 4-channel Selectable Frequencies Includes 3.5 Mm Plug For Standard Headphones Full Stereo Broadcast Fuse Protection
Amazon.com Product Description Play your favorite MP3s, CDs, or iPod tunes through any vehicle FM radio while simultaneously powering the device with this Scosche combo FM transmitter/charger. The FM transmitter offers four selectable channels: 88.1, 88.3, 88.5, and 88.7 MHz. To use the device, simply find an empty frequency on your FM dial-- meaning a frequency that gets no reception--that corresponds to one of the four channels, then tune the transmitter to the same channel. The music will then play through the selected station, negating the need for a cassette deck adapter, auxiliary input, or other wired music transfer device. The charger, meanwhile, plugs into your cigarette lighter adapter to keep your music player fully juiced as you drive, so you won't run out of music within the first few hours of your road trip. Compatible with iPods, MP3 players, PDAs, cassette players, portable CD players, laptops, and any other device with a 3.5 mm headphone jack, the FM transmitter/charger offers an operating range of up to 30 feet (10 feet or less will minimize interference and provide the strongest signal) and is backed by a 90-day warranty. What's in the Box FM transmitter/charger, user's manual.

Very Good August 4, 2010 Nigel R. Rice Pros:
-Very strong signal. Strongest I have personally ever used.
-No need for batteries.
-Very simple to use.
-Universal. Can use with any brand or type MP3 player.
Cons:
-Only 4 choices of frequencies.
To sum it up, I have been very pleased with Scosche FM transmitters. They have never let me down. The only thing holding this review back from being 5 stars is the limited number of choices you have on choosing what frequency you want. 4 choices may not be enough for some people, especially in densely populated areas. Other than that, it does what it should and it does it well.
DOA March 25, 2010 Milton D. Mchenry (MD) Defective. Amazon policy is that returns are accepted in "original packing" which has to be destroyed in order to find out that the product is inoperative.
Useless February 3, 2010 Allison L. Gullins (boston) This product might work someplace where there is zero reception, but in Metro Boston the procuct was rendered useless. I will not bother with any of these devices anymore; the ones you can actually get to work sounds terrible, and the rest of them just don't work at all. Spend the extra money and have a system hardwired into your car. Well worth it, less hassle.
Limited capabilities. January 3, 2010 J. Waller (Alaska) I can't really say how well this works since there are no open frequencies in my area and I haven't been able to actually tune in to an open channel. This tuner only works on four channels between 80 and 90. I wouldn't recommend this to anyone.
Simple and Powerful November 13, 2009 R. Long (Detroit) I have tried other FM Transmitters, before and since buying my first Scosche, but continue to keep coming back to this product. The simplicity of this product is that it only has four channels. The key to this product is that within that four channel range the transmitter is capable of powering through most interference. My family and I travelled from Detroit to Washington D.C., and in that distance only had to find a new channel three times.
Many other brands will advertise that they can use the entire channel range to find a "clear" channel. However, within five minutes there tends to be interference, and you're having to change the channel again. As I previously mentioned, I have tried other brands. I have had several Belkin models, even a supposedly "higher" priced model, and within my commute from Detroit to Ann Arbor, I had to change the channel more than I did from Detroit to Washington D.C.
I would highly recommend this product for people like myself who do not have an auxillary jack in their vehicle.
