When it works it is very good. However getting it to work was annoying at best. Perhaps I should have waited for bugs to be worked out before I purchased item.

If your television is going to be your main house stereo system, if you plan to use this at frequent parties for music, if you plan to watch videos from your Zune on your television consistently, this is a good product for you. Actually, if this describes you, read the third section.
I enjoyed this product for a while just enjoying all the fun bits of it and whatnot, but with more time I realized that ultimately, it's useless.
If you have a laptop or a desktop pc with hdmi output, it will have the same functions, better controls, and better visualizations if you use the Zune software. If you would rather use a component input to your screen, purchase an hdmi-to-component cable instead of an hdmi-to-hdmi cable. Videos are also less hassle from your computer and don't have to go through any conversions though MTP and you can view more file types using media center or another program (dare I say QuickTime? Nah, I won't even go there).
The Zune gets too hot.
I feel like I'm going to accidentally break the flimsy remote through regular use.
The dock will work with a speaker system, but it gives off white noise faintly and, honestly, just get a ac-to-usb adapter to charge and play at the same time. Seriously.
The cables smell funny...plugged in or not.

Works just as advertised just have AV or HDMI inputs and your good to go. great for traveling. The remote is great; small and easy to loose, but that depends on the person. It is definately worth the investment, and you'll save some money buying online.

The dock is pretty sweet, and does everything it's supposed to do. For those complaining about how much more expensive it is when you could just get the sync dock and a cheap cable, bad news. I'm pretty sure the sync dock doesn't have the hd output. On that note, though, the nice hdtv I was planning to use this with conked out a week after I got the dock, so I haven't been able to really test out the hd capabilities. It seems to work well enough with the regular av output, but that's not what you got the dock for, is it? THe hd radio functionality of the player is definitely helped with the antenna, which is a very long, very thin affair with a little knob on the end. A couple of times, either the dock or the player didn't detect each other, which meant that the device didn't output to tv. quickly fixed by taking it out and putting it back in (the player, by the way, docks pretty smoothly and easily). Also worth noting that you can plug the usb power cord into your computer for power and syncing. Or not, considering that the zune hd can wirelessly sync to your computer. Overall, nifty dock!

Very cool product! Really allows us to enjoy our music library in the living room. The 720p image quality looks good; I wish it was 1080p but that is minor. Overall it is a great choice if you want to have a "lean-back" experience and share your music/movies with others.
